ART BEYOND BOUNDARIES GALLERY is seeking artwork from local and regional
artists with disabilities for the upcoming exhibition, *TICKLE YOUR FANCY,
opening MARCH 25, 2011.*
**A maximum of 5 pieces can be submitted for consideration. Artwork MUST be
exhibition-ready (i.e. framed or finished edges on paintings clean mats etc.)
The submission deadline is MARCH 11, 2011. No entry fee is required. All
artwork must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition, which
will run until MAY 9, 2011.

Essex Studios Announces Logo Design Contest
Essex Studios is hosting a logo design contest to find the next great logo for this fantastic group of local artists!
Essex Studios invites any and all Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky residents to participate by submitting a logo design to http://www.essexstudios.com
This contest is FREE and open to all residents in the area. The contest runs until June 1, 2011, at which time the entries will be judged by a panel of judges.
Feel free to submit as many submissions as you like. There are no guidelines for the submissions, but it would be great if the logo looked appropriate with the exterior of Essex Studios (shown below).
Benefits for the winner include:
Recognition on the Essex Studios website
Recognition in press releases sent out to local newspapers and art blogs
Free space at the Essex Studios Art Walks for an entire year

Essex Studios Seeks Artists for Art Walk Event
Essex Studios Art Walk Call to Artists
Essex Studios is searching for 15-20 Greater Cincinnati artists for the upcoming Art Walk events on March 4th & 5th and May 6th & 7th from 6-11pm on each night. All artists and art media are welcomed to these fabulous events.
Ample space is provided to each artist in order to install artwork. Traditionally artists set up in the hallways, but at times there are studio spaces available also. Artists will install artwork on the Thursday night before each weekend show from 6-9pm.
Artists are asked to pay a fee of $50 in advance of the show. These setup fees are used to fund advertising for the Art Walk events. Guest & Resident Artists are also encouraged to promote the events for the benefit of all artists.
No commission is ever taken by Essex Studios.
Checks should be made out to Essex Studios owner Trent Heimann, 2511 Essex Place, Cincinnati, OH 45202. Payments should be made prior to the start of the show.
Covington AEC seeks Arts Calender Listings
The Covington AEC in conjunction with the Village Breeze is seeking submissions for a new 'Arts Calendar' section for their publication.
The Editor of the Village Breeze has agreed to commit two full pages of the publication to the Arts. The Arts District Manager will act as Content Editor to these pages, responsible for content and design of these pages. The intention is to provide a Community Arts Calendar of all Arts-related events. In addition to the calendar content, there is room for a column feature. The Arts District Manager will invite people from the Arts Community to be guest writers for this space for each edition. Events listings should be submitted no later than January 5th. Contact Natalie Bowers at nbowers@covingtonky.gov.

1) “SOS ART 2011”, a group art show and event of sociopolitical expressions for peace and justice, in its 9th consecutive year, will take place at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, May 27 – June 5, 2011.
2) Greater Cincinnati Artists of all expressions (visual, verbal, musical, cinematographic, etc.) are invited to participate.
3) Below (in full text and as a “word” attachment) is an artist submission form geared to the visual art component of the event. Artists of other expressions, please submit your proposal by an e mail return message.
4) Deadline for receipt of application is May 9, 2011.
5) All submissions will be considered and all works will be included provided they adhere to the theme of the show, are inclusive and space permits.
